A race that lacks early pressure on paper. CORTAIN (5) is going well and looks a solid hope in a winnable race. He dropped back to this trip at Swan Hill in a similar affair and stuck on gamely for a narrow third placing. Maps for a soft trailing run and only needs to hold that form to be breaking through. TEKAPO (14) struggled in a stronger race at Horsham last time out but had been coming along well prior and drops in grade. Back in trip here but can look to be positive and run them along. SUNRAY LASS (11) has relative upside and gave a bold sight at Werribee last time out, only run down late. CHIPILLY (8) wasn't beaten far last start and should be in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Cortain on top.
