Mermaid Skirt can work over from a wide alley to lead. WIN IZANAMI (11) wound up strongly last time out to finish one length adrift in second over 1400m at this track. Has a decent record at this trip with three minor placings from four tries and is among the leading chances. LA LA BANYULS (17) met with solid support last start over 1600m at this track when fourth, beaten 5.5 lengths. Has a wide gate to overcome but he can figure in the finish. UNDER THE LIGHT (18) has registered two minor placings in a row, the latest effort an eye-catching second over 1400m at Niigata. Looks well placed so expect another big run. OKAGESAN (3) is a nine-start maiden who looks close to breaking the duck after finishing in the placings at his last couple of runs, most recently when 1.1 lengths away in third over 1400m at Niigata. Sure to be in the mix again.
