Pace looks to be genuine with Empress Of The Sun and Lygon Street Luigi matching motors in advance of Undaunting and Engeline. EMPRESS OF THE SUN (12) missed a whisker first-up and then delivered a Pakenham Maiden over a mile, racing forward. She's a promising mare in the premier stable, and stripping fitter can handle the step up in grade and trip. LYGON STREET LUIGI (8) has plenty of ability and prepared to forgive his plain effort at Geelong. His form leading into that was threatening, and at the back of his previous preparation, he was beaten a nose at Moonee Valley over this trip. A player. SEA STRIKE (1) was outgraded at Sandown-Hillside but had been tracking well into that. Has a 4kg claim today, and that brings him into it. WAXING GIBBOUS (6) is a former UK galloper who was expected to win first-up for the new stable. He was never in the hunt over the mile journey, but will relish the step up in trip. His best form is compelling. ENGELINE (10) won a 58 over this trip and will be around the mark if the wide barrier is managed. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Empress Of The Sun.
