Deep maiden hurdle with some good jumpers. STOCKMAN (8) went down fighting in a two horse war in his jumping debut at Warrnambool behind Through Irish Eyes before struggling back on the flat in the Sandown Cup on good going. Back over the jumps now and should go close. FARAG (4) also comes through the Sandown Cup on the flat having tried hard behind Highland Blaze in a maiden hurdle at Warrnambool prior. He's also won a hurdle trial since that effort and can go one better. NORMANDY BRIDGE (6) has finished third in two hurdle runs to date, showing speed, and too much of it, before fading. He needs to settle better in front but can keep learning that craft. BIGNIGHT REBEL (2) has been trialling well for his jumps debut and is in good hands with Shane Jackson. Watch the market. BALINOR (1) could be an improver. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stockman to win.
