Plenty of pressure from Omasa, Tsurumaru Violet and Shrewsbury battling for the lead over Gletscher. OMASA (2) is a progressive four-year-old entire who resumes from a break of ten weeks, his last appearance being a win over 1400m at this track. Has scored first-up from a spell before. Excels at this journey with an unbeaten record from five runs and is a leading contender. TSURUMARU VIOLET (3) is back at the races for the first time since September 18. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last prep over 1200m at this track. Should be hard to stop. GLETSCHER (7) is back after a break of four-and-a-half months. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 1650m at this track. Boasts a first-up record of three wins and two placings from seven starts. Has to be respected. KITASAN YUJA (5) showed good speed and led for much of the way before being claimed in the straight and fading to finish sixth, beaten 8 lengths, over 1200m here last time. Can sneak into the finish.
