A strong tempo is assured with Jack Attack and Elusive Impact leading the charge. SAKO (3) has not quite kicked on as expected after relocating to the South Island, but his efforts have not been so bad, including a solid third at Ashburton a fortnight ago over 1200m. He steps up to 1400m for the first time this prep, and he can make a winning poly track debut. MOGUL (9) ran on far too late over this trip at Ashburton last time out after settling a long way back from a wide gate. He can be more positive this time from a superior draw, and even though he is up in class, he will drop 5.5kg, so stick with him. Follow your money. EIGHT LUCKY PRAWNS (8) resumes from a spell without a trial, which is a query for us, but all of his best form has been on this track, and with a light weight to carry, he could be worth including in all combos. ELUSIVE IMPACT (2) needed his fresh run at Ashburton 2 weeks ago, and he has won 3 of his 5 starts on this track. A better effort is on the cards. Include. DIMAGGIO (1) resumes from a spell, and he likes the track. Don't risk him. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sako to win.
