Small field in which Funshow can find the front comfortably at a moderate tempo.
Nice little maiden. I AM ADONIS (7) gets the nod after finishing third in a strong form race when fresh from a spell over 1100m at Rosehill last start. Needs the longer trip second-up and the blinkers going on might add some spark. Looks the one but there are a few serious challengers including COPARTNER PEGASUS (1) who hit the line strongly first-up over 1200m at Gosford. Improved as the prep went on when last in work so he should build on that encouraging effort. FLYING PARTY (4) has recorded three minor placings from as many runs, all in country maidens. Meets some better types this time but the application of blinkers could be significant. FUNSHOW (5) is back for a second campaign after a maiden prep that saw him find one better as favourite in all three runs. Trialled well at Gosford recently so he looks wound up for this. CIRCUS GIRL (9) hasn't been all that far away at her last couple and with a soft run from gate one she comes under notice. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing I Am Adonis to win.
