A race that lacks early pressure on paper.
SUN TO ME (4) comes here at the tenth run of his maiden prep but there are no signs of fatigue. Settled a long way off the lead then launched late and was only beaten half a length over this course and distance last start. A lack of pace in the race is the only concern, but his figures say he is the one to beat. SHE'S A DAME (7) recorded her sixth minor placing from eight career runs when an eye-catching third over 1890m at Newcastle last time out. Ran a nice race here at this distance the run prior. Honest mare who shouldn't be a maiden for much longer. CHARLIE HUSTLE (2) produced a career-best performance recently when just 0.3 lengths behind Sun To Me here at the mile. Doesn't met him favourably at the weights but another top three finish is on the cards. THUNDER LIGHTS (5) brings recent country form to the table but was competitive in provincial maidens earlier in the prep. Snitzel three-year-old CORPULENT (3) placed in a recent Warwick Farm trial and cannot be overlooked. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sun To Me to finally break through.
