Plenty of pressure from Bruce I Am, Poisonous and Revolutionary Star battling for the lead over Ride The River.
REVOLUTIONARY STAR (8) returned from a 24-week spell and was lining up for only the second time when a game winner over this distance at Gosford last start. Has been brought along patiently by the Waterhouse/Bott team and he is reaping the benefits. Can go to this next level. POISONOUS (4) led all the way to win with authority first-up over this trip at Hawkesbury then was less effective last time when he dropped back to 1000m. Speedy gelding who will appreciate the return to 1100m and will be prominent for a long way. HE'S COOL (3) made it two wins from as many runs over the Wyong 1100m when comfortably home in a Class 1 two back. Struggled over 1200m last time but can make amends back at his pet distance. BRUCE I AM (6) started favourite and gave backers little cause for concern when an all-the-way winner on debut over 1000m here recently. Promising gelding with plenty more to offer. MYRIAD (7) is back from a 20-week break. Goes well fresh although the wide gate is a worry. SUGGESTED PLAY: Revolutionary Star on top but the top four picks all have excellent claims.
