Twelveunder has good gate speed and can overcome the wide draw to lead. SCENIC BOOM (11) spiked his numbers, beaten 2.6L over this trip at long odds in much tougher company. It was a good effort and he gets weight relief with a 4kg claimer engaged. He hasn't won for a long time, but maps well and gets his chance to break back. GOLD LIGHTNING (5) was quickly back on track, missing a whisker here over 1103m in a CL1. She will race forward and is a decent chance to go one better. SWEXAN (9) resumes and has switched from the Ciaron Maher yard in Sydney. He led and just missed at Muswellbrook over longer when last seen. Found a distant placing at Wyong over 1100m, his only fresh outing, and is capable of using the inside barrier. Deserves plenty of consideration if there's a betting lead. HILLSIDE HORACE (7) came back in trip and turned the form around, just beating Gold Lightning home. Has a wide gate to manage, but shouldn't be far away if he holds that form. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Scenic Boom.
