Cracking tempo looks assured with many of these capable of pushing on early.
DIRTY SUMMER (1) found the lead a long way from home and only conceded late in the piece when resuming over 1100m at Gosford last start. This maiden doesn't look as deep and coming back to 1000m is a tick. Perfectly placed to break the ice. CAPITAL ILLUSION (5) was in commission on debut at Warwick Farm and after showing pace held on well for third to Bangkok Hottie who franked the form in town last Saturday. Serious threat with that race experience now on board. OVER THE LIMIT (7) recorded his fourth minor placing from eight starts when runner-up over this distance at Canberra recently. Gets some significant weight relief today so although up in grade he comes under notice. BARRACKS (2) started at $1.55 but found one better over today's journey at Hawkesbury last start. Open to plenty of improvement at just his third trip to the races. DOLCE VITA (6) was easily accounted for first-up but is capable of better. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on the top two picks - Dirty Summer just gets the nod.
