Sushi Express to take charge ahead of First Accused at a solid tempo. DURAZZO (5) brings a string of Tassie wins at this level and has been freshened 42 days. Has won 11/14 and can add to that record today. JIMMY THE BEAR (2) found a place third-up in the Gold Reef Quality at Flemington over a mile and will be better for it. The shorter trip won't be an issue and he'll jump from an inside barrier. Rates a winning chance. STEPARTY (1) also has decent claims presenting off his near miss over 1400m in the Kensington Stakes at Flemington. Has John Allen aboard and should get every chance. WELWAL (4) resumes for a top Melbourne barn and is right up to this if presented on song. He's a multiple Group 3 winner and has jumped out well. An inside barrier is a slight niggle, but he's sure to feature. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sticking with the local Durazzo.
