Champagne Wishes and Suave should set a strong gallop. CHAMPAGNE WISHES (3) is an ex-Australian-trained mare who made a pleasing return when third over 1200m at Tauranga 4 weeks ago. She strips fitter for that outing and drops down to 1000m for the first time. She meets the right sort of field here and can take this out. RICHEMONT (5) is on debut for the Shane Crawford stable. The four-year-old mare by Swiss Ace out of Philanthropic has trialled well, including a win at Avondale in the middle of last month. The market will be a very good guide. SUAVE (2) resumes after 5 months off. He finished fifth over 1100m at Taupo in the spring and has since won another trial. If he can reproduce his trial efforts on race day, then he won't be a maiden for much longer. ALPINE PRINCESS (9) is a debutante filly by Anders out of Alpine Pearl. She placed second in her latest trial at Foxton and is worth keeping safe, especially if there is market confidence. SWIFFTY (8) raced greenly on debut, and only battled into sixth here nearly 9 weeks ago. Include. SUGGESTED PLAY: Champagne Wishes can win this.
