Just a moderate tempo given the absence of pacy gallopers. SPOT ON THE MOON (1) lightly raced gelding ready to win at his third race start. Strong through the line from last on the turn with a slashing third over 1200m at Tamworth. Gets a better setup for this and will relish this trip. COASTAL COWBOY (2) resumes and now in the Tony & Maddysen Sears yard. Failed to get into the contest on debut with a poor sixth over 1200m at the Gold Coast last November. Ran fourth in a 1000m trial at the Gold Coast and can sprint well fresh with the blinkers going on. SAVANNA GOLDEN BOY (10) finds a much easier contest and back in trip after finishing fourth over 1600m at Wyong. Assess on the run three-back when placing over 1200m at Gosford. Each-way prospect. LAUNCHER (3) produced a good set of closing splits when fifth over 1350m at Ipswich. Drawn out again and will be doing his best work late. Worth thought. SUGGESTED PLAY: Spot The Moon and Coastal Cowboy shape as the two leading prospects.
