RUMOURS ABOUND (4) contested the Wagga Scamper at BM82 level fresh, well backed there when battling into fourth. Her best form rates highly for this, expect she takes catching. BEFORE THE WAR (8) was allowed to drift back from an outside draw last time but found the line strongly to finish fifth, beaten 1.75 lengths, over 1000m at Cranbourne. Drawn to get back again but will be charging late. BARNAGE (1) found a BM70 at Flemington too tough last time. The fresh win at Yarra Valley has him in the mix.
