GOING: G(4)

Pearson's Nursery Handicap 1200m

Track: GOOD 4   Rain (Max: 21)   Rail: Out 9m Entire Circuit. (Pent: 5.15).

Expecting Zoughandi to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sprint trip. COLLEANO (1) has only had 1 start this year and that was in March before having another spell. He was a recent winner at the Colac trials and will find this BM58 company to his liking fresh up. The blinkers come off for the first time and he is good enough to win this. A market watch is advised. LONG LOST FRIEND (9) had her first run fresh up for the local Mark O'Donnell stable and ran a close-up third. She will be better for that run and with Linda Meech in the saddle, she merits healthy respect. HONOUR DE HERO (3) is a handy local mare resuming from a spell with a trial under her belt. She normally comes to hand quickly and benefits from a 2kg claim. A good draw will help and she has each-way claims. ZOUGHANDI (4) whacked away solidly when finishing midfield fresh-up at Hamilton 18 days ago on a heavy track. He has been patiently handled and is ready to go on with the job. A firmer surface would enhance his claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Colleano to win.
