The Milkybar Kid and Awesome Lineup should tussle for the early lead in the small field. QUANTUM CAT (1) had trouble getting out at Caulfield second up from a spell and finished a narrow fourth. Whether it cost him the race is hard to say but he looks well placed here, except for going and drawing barrier 1 again. Just needs a change of luck. FLAMIN' ROMANS (5) beat QUANTUM CAT home at Caulfield and continues to measure up well in this sort of grade. No knocks. UP AND UNDER (2) has been going okay in Sydney and is certainly good enough on his day. Up in trip again here suits. THE GENIUS (4) won narrowly fresh at Cranbourne and should only be fitter. KARBURAN (3) next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Quantum Cat on top.
