Expecting the speedy Fickle to be prominent but one or more of the first starters should add to the early pressure. GEFFINA (10) charged home late to finish third on this track when making her debut 11 days ago and was only a neck back from the winner that day. She stays at the same trip but this time has a far superior draw and with the natural improvement that is expected second up, she should be the one to beat this time. BIG BEAM (1) had 2 runs late last season in his initial prep and would have matured over his recent spell. He is trained on the track and should secure a cosy run early on from a good gate. He has the scope to pick up a win at short notice. CHERISH THE DAY (8) tried hard along the fence on a heavy track here just over 3 weeks ago and did a good job of holding onto fourth place just over a length from the winner. She was third on debut at Geelong before that and has Linda Meech in the saddle this time. She is still on the up with her fitness and from a good draw, can figure in the finish again. FICKLE (5) won a recent trial and has a home track advantage. Watch closely. SUGGESTED PLAY: Geffina to win.
