Strong early tempo assured with Individualist, Avalicious and Have Mercy locking horns. POSSIBLY SO (1) will find this easier than either of his two starts back from a spell this prep and he has also had a trial since his last run so there can be no excuses with his fitness this time. A 2kg claim will help ease his top weight and he has won twice over this distance. A big run is expected here. ROSES IMMINENTE (14) was an upset winner on debut at Scone but did create an impression when scoring by half-a-length. She then franked that form by finishing runner-up at Tamworth 18 days ago and is good enough to figure in the finish again, even from a wide gate. Stick with her. SEVEN MILE MISSILE (5) has found some form since shifting to the local Brett Robb yard and broke through for his first win at Narromine 11 days ago. He has a superior draw this time and can double the dose. WAITAPU (6) ran on late to finish sixth at Armidale after a short let-up and will be a lot sharper for this. He might want more ground but is more than capable of a top three finish in this. SUGGESTED PLAY: Waitapu each-way.
