Lots of speed predominantly from Brandjam, Romani Ite Domum and Cerons. ROMANI ITE DOMUM (4) tried to lead throughout on debut at Sandown Hillside and was only caught late to go down by a head. He'll be much better for that and will take plenty of beating here. TESSA'S CHOICE (14) resumes having run a good race on debut in the G3 Ottawa Stakes, third to the smart Eneeza. Looks well placed in this. THE GRUMPY BEAR (6) ran a good race on debut at Bendigo over 1000m when beaten under a length. Out to 1200m looks ideal and he loses nothing with Lane going on. TAKEN (11) worked home well on debut at Geelong and rates a good each-way hope here. LINKVUE (3) has shown ability and is in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Romani Ite Domum to win.
