Toho Gemma has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. LILY BAROWS (2) built on a nice third two starts back with success over 1700m at this track two-and-a-half weeks ago, getting home by one length. Tatsuya Watanabe scored on her last time and retains the mount. This looks a sterner test than last time but on current form she is good enough to take this out. HAKUSAN MAX (5) ran fourth at his latest appearance over 1400m at this track. Back in trip and in the mix. NORA (7) raced below her best last time when tenth over 1400m here. Makoto Okabe gets the best out of this seven-year-old mare. Well placed and can feature. ROYAL PEARLS (3) was 11th over 920m at this track six weeks ago. Finds a nice race and can bounce back.
