GOING: G(4)

MACQUARIE PEGASUS CRICKET CLUB BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 2200m

Track: GOOD 4   Rain (Max: 23)   Rail: Out 3m 900m-400m. True Remainder. (Pent: 4.3).

Abundant early pace from Jameson, Lady Tino and Joshua ahead of Ready Made Doll. RAIDING (2) is trained on the track and has won 4 of her 11 starts here. She made up some late ground when finishing fourth here 5 days ago and will find this an easier assignment. She carries 62kg after a claim and is good enough to take this out. LADY TINO (1) finished a close-up fourth in a tight finish at a Grenfell picnic meeting 6 days ago and looks to have a future over a middle distance. She is looking to recapture her good form from earlier in her career and from a good draw this time, she can figure in the top three. HOT GOSPEL (7) finished runner-up in the same race as the top pick here 5 days ago and is usually thereabouts. It is encouraging to see Ashley Morgan retain the ride and the pair can go one better in this. JOSHUA (8) turned his recent form around with a solid effort for second at Wagga nearly a fortnight ago in his first run over a middle distance. He can build on that run and can win this without it being a surprise. SUGGESTED PLAY: Hot Gospel each-way.
