No recognised leader engaged but Strong possesses enough dash to take advantage of a low draw and take it up. IFFIN DOUBT DANCE (3) dropped back into this grade at Riccarton 8 days ago and found the mile a touch on the short side, being this deep into her prep. The extra 600m is the key, and though she is battling for form, she is nicely placed this time, so stick with her at some each-way value. AVORIAZ (8) made up a lot of solid ground when finishing third here nearly 3 weeks ago over this trip. She is peaking at the right time and can take this out. STRONG (7) has been in good form in his last 3 starts, and gets a nice swing in his draw this time. If being down by the fence is the place to be by this time of the day, then he can figure in the top 3 again. SHAMEFUL (1) capped off some improving form with an overdue maiden win by a short-head at Riccarton 8 days ago over a mile. A wet track is what he needs, and he can repeat the dose with similar conditions underfoot. HEREIGOAGAIN (12) has not won for some time and cops a wide gate here. She is not out of a field like this.
