Pace only fair with Sweet 'N' Elite rolling to the lead ahead of Middle Child and Radio Waves. ESSAY WINE (5) built quickly on her debut, narrowly beaten this track/trip in a strong form race. Maps well and has the upside that many of these lack. Has been kept on the fresh side and is ready to win. SHE'S GOT LYRICS (7) was allowed to drift back from a wide draw then found the line strongly to grab second over 1200m at Townsville. Is running out of chances but that was a much-improved effort and she may go on with it now. MIDDLE CHILD (6) wasn't far away here on a heavy track and then started $3.6 at Townsville over 1000m and had no luck. The longer sprint is a niggle but Wiggins' is a key jockey engagement replacing the apprentice. Will position forward and be in it a long way. STELLAR LEGEND (3) just missed over 1400m at Townsville when well supported. Presents on a quick backup and is also in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Essay Wine to win.
