She was a sound runner-up at Riccarton last time out behind a promising type, and a repeat of that effort would see her as the one to beat in this. PRIVATE TREATY (6) only battled in the same race as the top pick despite having plenty of market support. Stick with her on this circuit. GOLDEN LINING (5) has been hitting the line powerfully in her last couple of starts. She has recently relocated to the South Island and looks set to make an immediate impact. SOUL DESTROYER (1) has bobbed up on a couple of occasions, and he gives every indication that he will continue to improve over the longer journeys. Stick with him for all top 4 combos in this. WATSON (2) is trying a middle distance for the first time, and that could produce some better form. Include in all combinations to be safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: Taimate Star to win.
