Pace strong with Can't Catch Me and Zoombomber leading with Circle Of Grace nearby. CAN'T CATCH ME (11) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at Vaal, finishing fourth and only 0.7 lengths from the winner at the end of 1450m after being prominent at the bend. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. KOTINOS (8) fought on for third last start over 1450m at Vaal, making it two minor placings in a row. Nicely placed to find winning ways. GOLDEN ASPEN (7) ran a strong third over 1450m at Vaal two runs back then was below her best last time over 1600m when sixth, beaten 4 lengths. Appeals back in trip this time so she is one of the main contenders. BAY EMPIRE (6) missed the placings two runs back then did well last start but found a couple better over 1450m at this track, beaten only 1.75 lengths. Looks to be in the right race so he should be in contention again.
