Despite the small field Kool Kade, Whiskey George and Platinum Gift will set a genuine tempo. BATTLE WARRIOR (5) was too good here two back before missing by 1.5L back to 1000m at this track last time out. Back out to 1100m now is a big tick and he maps beautifully for Bourke. Rates highly off his win here two back and he can go one better here. PLATINUM GIFT (3) resumed with a strong win over the 1000m here 39 days ago and has been back to the trials since where he moved well. Beuzelin sticks with the gelding here and he if he can build on the first-up effort, he'll be hard to hold out. ABSTRUSE (2) got the job done last week at the Sapphire Coast, getting there in the nick of time to score in a photo finish. Collett rides now and this shapes as a similar event here. Can be in the finish once more. SUGGESTED PLAY: Battle Warrior can get back to winning ways.
