CRYSTAL ROSE (3) may have found the mile a bridge too far last start at Northam following a narrow defeat over 1400m the start prior. Back to this trip looks to suit and the Visors replace the blinkers. Drawn to be prominent in the run and looks set to shed the maiden tag. STRYKER'S GAL (4) disappointed first-up in City grade and now drops right back to this level on the quick turnaround. This looks to suit her much better, particularly stepping out in trip. Draws well and should get her chance. DESERT MADAME (12) gets the blinkers on first time from a good draw and ticks plenty of boxes. FORBIDDEN APPLE (7) can bounce back following a disappointing run last start. SUGGESTED PLAY: Crystal Rose goes on top.
