Strong tempo early from Entelecheia booting up on the rail, joined by A Tracks and Igniter spearing over. SHAMAL (10) returns from a break of three-and-a-half months. Consistent performer last prep whose most recent appearance resulted in a third over 1400m at Urawa. Expected to bring the good form from last campaign to this contest. KUROJISHI JOE (11) wound up strongly but just failed to pick up the winner when first-up last start over 1200m at Morioka Dirt. Should tighten right up following that outing. Finds a tougher race but this looks well within his grasp. CHIKAPPA (6) has been kept fresh since he resumed last start and proved too strong, scoring by 2 lengths over 1200m at Monbetsu. Has a liking for this trip and he is a major player again. IGNITER (13) resumes today after filling a minor placing at his only appearance last prep at Urawa over 1400m on June 19. Tsubasa Sasagawa who has scored on him two times retains the mount. Not to be discounted.
