In sparkling form before a break and looks well placed here on unbeaten record at the trip. Can make it three straight. PUFF (8) was prominent from the outset when third over 1700m at this track last time out. Should camp just off the leaders. Fitter again and has placed 3/4 second-up. Strong winning chance. LIFE GATE (2) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 1.1 lengths away in fourth last time out over 1700m at this track. The engagement of Yuji Tannai is noteworthy. Best figures stack right up this line-up. POD VOLK (9) is struggling to break through but hasn't been far away, the latest offering a fourth, beaten 2 lengths, over 1800m at Chukyo Dirt. Should be poised just off the lead. Solid claims on best form.
