Plenty of runners but the field lacks a pacemaker so a dawdling affair is on the cards. HO O BAROLO (7) returned from a break for the new stable and was on dirt for the first time when victorious over 1500m at this track, scoring by 4 lengths. Backmarker who gets home hard and best form puts him right in this. RIPLEY (11) won her maiden over this course and distance last start, getting the verdict by a neck. Winning rider Aoi Kinomae sticks and she cannot be underestimated. CRY ME A RIVER (12) tackled a dirt track for the first time last start and filled a minor placing at her first run for the Katsuyuki Imazu stable over 1500m at this track. Strong each-way chance in this line-up. JIFA (3) missed the placings last start when seventh over 1400m at this track. Well placed to turn things around.
