Smile Wave has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. WATASHIWA SAIKYO (6) racing well. Was caught deep so made a dash forward before the turn then stuck on well to finish fourth last start over 1400m at this track. Ryo Takamatsu gets the best out of this four-year-old entire. Taking on a better field but he is up to the task. SALT ROCK (3) won her maiden over this course and distance last start, getting the verdict by 4 lengths. Looks well placed and she is a solid top-three hope. THREE BRILLANTE (5) displayed plenty of early toe and went on to score by 2.5 lengths last time out over 1400m at this track. Meeting a deeper field this time but he is up to the challenge. SMILE WAVE (1) showed good early dash and raced on the speed last start before fading to finish back in seventh over 1400m at this track. His best is good enough.
