Keen speed battle, with Kawaten Max, Elaine Asti and Raggamuffin Girl prominent. KAWATEN MAX (2) is a talented type yet to taste defeat after five runs, the latest over 2000m at this track. Winning jockey stays aboard and rates a top chance again. SANYO TEIO (7) went forward and gave a great sight before finishing second last time out over 2000m at this track. Finds a tougher race but another big run is on the cards. STAR SAND BEACH (12) saluted at Kasamatsu two runs ago. Not disgraced last time out when second over 1870m at Sonoda, beaten half a length. Must raise the bar but a better run will not surprise. ELAINE ASTI (9) raced on the speed last start and battled on well but found one better over 1700m at this track. Record at this track is strong. Too good to ignore.
