Keen speed battle, with Blazing Light, Manz Knight and King Bavarian prominent. BALLY MAGIC (7) showed good signs of a form return when second of nine over 1600m on this course last time. He raced from a handy position and found one too good on the day who has come out and won again since. If confirming his recent improvement, he may be the one to beat. FUTURE SAINT (1) is better than his last start run over 1400m at Scottsville would suggest. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. If seeing out the extra distance on offer, he should throw out a big challenge to the top selection. RICHARDTHEFEARLESS (6) ran a fair race over this course and distance last time. He gets the blinkers fitted which should keep his mind on the task at hand and he can finish in the money. KING BAVARIAN (5) is better than his last start run over this course and distance would suggest. His last victory came under 4kgs claiming apprentice Jacey Botes. If putting his best foot forward, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
