A solid tempo on the cards with Five Down taking charge. SIMPLY THINKIN' (3) had threatened twice at Ascot, before a narrow defeat at Belmont. Will race at peak fitness, and the top hoop stays aboard. Has the inside barrier and is well-placed to win. LINDEN'S GOLD (1) was quickly back on track, winning a 70 at Albany. Lugs more weight but holding the form, he'll be in the finish. BELTA OF A SONG (6) delivered a hat-trick at the back of his previous preparation but has looked in need of her two runs this time around. CJP goes aboard today, and it won't surprise to see an improved effort. FIVE DOWN (2) resumes for Luke Fernie and has trialled well at Ascot. Placed his only start here over the trip, and he's worth a market watch. WAR GEM (7) was better, beaten 1.6L at Belmont and with average luck in the run, he'll be around the mark.
