MOUNT NICHOLSON HANDICAP 1800m

Track: SOFT      

Genuine tempo with Firefoot leading the way. SUNDAY'S SERENADE (2) has been getting well back in the run recently and looks as though he's screaming out for the longer trip which he gets today. It wouldn't surprise to see him sit a touch closer under Purton now up to 1800m and he's progressing well. Looks the one to beat on recent efforts. LEAN HERO (1) has disappointed his past couple in stronger company, never getting into the race at Sha Tin most recently. He lands in an easier race this time however and boasts a solid record at this track and trip. Suspect this is a planned attack and he can bounce back to his best. MISSION STRIKE (6) went under as favourite here 35 days ago when being well back on the turn and finishing 1.8L off the winner. He's still on the up and boasts plenty of upside. Ticks plenty of boxes and can finish over the top of them. FIREFOOT (9) gets in light and has the ratings to be in the finish if he's on song.
