Certain to be a strong tempo with Kotinos, Coppola and John Wick leading the charge. KOTINOS (1) fought on bravely when third over 1200m on the Inside course here last time. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked and with Trent Mayhew taking the 2.5 kilos off his back, he may find himself in the winner's enclosure. PENDRAGON (5) battled on strongly when third over 1000m on the Inside course here last start. He should have no issues with the extra 160m on offer and he is one of the leading contenders. WARM WINTER NITE (8) ran a fair race in his local debut over 1000m on the Inside course. He is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. It is encouraging that Gavin Lerena is booked to ride and he can feature in the finish. MOONLIGHT TRADER (4) is better than his last two starts. He has finished second once and third once from as many starts here over this trip and he has the scope to show improvement.
