Isla Nevada is quick off the mark but with debutants engaged it's tricky to map. SNICK (10) resumes and has been unlucky not to have broken through. Draws low and brings a solid trial. Goes well enough fresh and she sets the standard. PHANTOM PRINCE (4) improved again just beaten at Mornington over 1200 and he was beaten by a similar margin at Cranbourne prior over this distance. He has been freshened and has a low gate and 2kg claim. A chance. NEW YORK DIVA (9) resumed with a near miss at Seymour and has more to give. Expect her to have the early speed to clear the awkward barrier. LA FILLE ROUGE (7) will ride the speed from a low barrier and can improve back on the turf. She will give a sight. SUGGESTED PLAY: Snick appeals most.
