Moderate pace from Captain Cat taking it up with Bencouver and Titan's Spirit on his back. CAMP CABLE (5) was strong fresh when beaten a lip at Kyneton and is sure to have taken improvement from that effort. Kept on the fresh side with 27 days between runs and with Egan sticking, he can go one better. BENCOUVER (4) stuck on bravely on speed when resuming here and wasn't beaten far at big odds. With that run under his belt he deserves far more respect and can take another step forward. CAPTAIN CAT (7) will be looking to pick up right where he left off after putting 8L on his nearest rival at Traralgon to shed the maiden. This may be short of his preferred trip, but he has jumped out sharply, fitter for a trio of hit-outs. Not taking lightly. MARLION'S DREAM (3) has found the line well in both runs back and should be nearing his peak, though he could find himself in an awkward spot if he is not sharp early from the inside draw. HONEY MAKER (8) is knocking on the door and the addition of blinkers could be the key. Keeping safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Camp Cable.
