Expecting Valiant Bomb to take up the running with Okami Star and Hard Pick close at hand. TOES IN THE WATER (8) went forward from the good gate and showed a ton of grit with a solid second over 1600m at Canberra behind Samurai in BM75 class. Looks up to this with Keating's 3kg claim and can hold a forward position from the wide gate. Genuine contender. WAEREA (2) progressive colt who can go quickly through the grades this prep. Scored a well-deserved victory first-up, then closed late with a narrow second over 1500m at Newcastle in this grade. Sure to make his presence felt. OKAMI STAR (14) back in trip and will find this more to his liking. Best form is over 1600m and maps well for this with Fitzgerald's claim. VALIANT BOMB (7) took control early in the soft (7) going before being swamped late with a narrow fifth over 1600m at Kembla Grange. Can over come the wide gate and improve on the firmer surface.
