Many of these step out for the first time so a genuine tempo is expected. MIMI'S (7) well-bred filly resuming. Knocked up badly on debut last June to run fifth over 1000m at Kembla Grange. Looks to have returned in good order judging by the two sound trials. Expected to go close. TIGLETTA (9) fourth-up for this and worth another chance from the better gate. Came out quickly from the outside barrier and failed to go on with it in the straight to run sixth over 1100m at Goulburn. Assess on earlier efforts. Genuine top-three contender. PLUME (8) just over three weeks between runs with an eye-catching third over 900m at Newcastle. The extra journey looks a positive from the low draw. Sure to be thereabouts. LIBERTY CALLS (4) Russian Revolution filly out of You Rang on debut for the Kim Waugh yard. Closed off okay in her last two trials and gets her chance from the barrier. SUGGESTED PLAY: Mimi's will prove hard to run down.
