NISHINO MIGNONNE (9) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 3 lengths away in fourth last time out over 800m at Himeji after being in the firing line on the turn. Likely improver with strong prospects. MERKUR (10) has not won for a long while. Last raced on March 12 when beaten 4 lengths into fifth at Himeji over 1400m after being in contention on the corner. Placed to advantage so expect a better run this time. LAZULITE SANA (7) showed early speed from a good draw and led until entering the straight last start, eventually holding on for third and beaten 2 lengths over 1400m at Himeji. Has ability and a bold showing is expected.
