Reasonable tempo with Magicon probably leading but a few others should keep him honest. Tricky staying contest. ASSOCIATE (1) racing well in tougher company and has his hoof on the till. Caught the eye late with a slashing fourth over 1600m in the Albury Mile. Claim helps and will prove hard to stop over the 2000m. Due for a change of luck. PRO VELOCITY (8) won well in C1 grade two-back, then thrown in the deep end with a fading tenth over 2000m in the LR Canberra Cup. No surprise to see her figure prominently here with Grima's claim. Each-way. FALCON LAIR (7) indicated a win was imminent when he closed strongly to finish second as fav over 1600m at Newcastle in this grade. Bred to run the trip and looms as a genuine threat. DUNEDIN (10) improved sharply when he jumped in distance with a sound 2 len victory over 2200m at Dubbo. Not to be underestimated in this stronger class. SUGGESTED PLAY: Associate will take plenty of stopping.
