CLIMB ANGEL (8) was an emphatic winner last time over 1400m at Himeji with today's rider Wataru Hirose engaged. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Will prove tough to beat. SMILE CLARK (3) built on a nice second when fresh from a spell two starts back at Himeji with success over 1400m at Himeji three weeks ago, getting home by a head. Finds a tougher race but he has the ability to test this field. LAYER (12) strode forward early last start from his wide draw and was never headed, scoring by a head at Himeji over 1400m. Solid prospects again. HATSUNAGI (1) raced close to the lead before clearing out to score an effortless 4 lengths win over 1400m at Himeji last time. Can figure in the finish again.
