Genuine tempo with the speedy Coastal Strike leading the way. SOUTH GEORGIA (13) wound up strongly to finish 1.3 lengths adrift in second over 1600m at Hobart. It was a good effort switching back from a middle distance. Will come hard again and be tough to hold out. VIXEN'S MOON (5) stepped up to this trip in the same contest and turned the form around, leading and winning comfortably. She'd been settling back and enjoyed the new role. She'll be right in it, holding that form. BAYSIDE (1) has been mixing trips and is going well enough to get into the finish again. THONATUS (7) spiked his figures, winning a CL1 over 1400 this track and then came back and wasn't too far away in a 60, after settling too far back. Pires replaces the apprentice, and he will be around the mark. SUGGESTED PLAY: South Georgia to win.
