CLAVIUS (7) is back from a spell of six-and-a-half months. Closed last campaign with a minor placing over 1800m at Ohi. Now under the care of new trainer Kiyoaki Sasaki. Expect him to play a major role. MARINO THERESIA (5) made progress last time out, finishing 8 lengths from the winner in second at the end of 1200m at this track. Finds a suitable race and can figure in the finish. RANHARDT (8) has not won for a long while. Last raced on February 28 when beaten 6 lengths into fifth at Urawa over 800m. Well placed and can fill a top-three spot.
