Pace only fair with Gathers No Stone rolling to the lead ahead of Nikephoros and Assertive Sway. Look to be two key chances. GATHERS NO STONE (2) progressed nicely last time out, beaten only three-quarters-of-a-length, over 1209m at Echuca. He's gradually improved at each run for the campaign and hasn't been in one as winnable as this. Main danger looks to be MR CRAFTY (3), who drifted back from an outside draw last time but found the line strongly to finish fifth over 1175m at Albury. This looks a great progression for a horse who appears to have more upside than most rivals. DON'T TELL HARRY (1) did little in five runs with Scott Cameron but is now with Rory Hunter who has got him trialling nicely, so improvement would not shock against this opposition. ASSERTIVE SWAY (5) didn't get warm first-up, beaten 7.5 lengths when fourth here, but she will be better for that and can show up in a race of this quality. NIKEPHOROS (4) generally runs his best races over a little further than this but gets the chance to run his best race yet fresh. SUGGESTED PLAY: Gathers No Stone and Mr Crafty quinella.
