Just a moderate tempo headed by Angel City, Nellies Wish and Deflector. ANGEL CITY (7) had a bit on her rivals, scoring an impressive 2.25 lengths maiden win over 1500m at Goulburn, bet a $2.7 favourite. Boudvillain stays aboard and can use the inside gate to advantage. Lightly raced and nicely placed to double the win tally. THE STARS ALIGN (2) is third-up and has switched stables on a 9-day return. Has been within range over a mile at both starts this preparation, with the latest here. Winning rider JVO is reunited, and he should go close. SPLENDID MAGNUS (8) had been improving before doing about what was expected over 1400m at Albury in stronger. The local steps up to 1600m for the first time and can get into the finish with average luck. BRANNUM (1) switched yards and surprised second-up, finding a place over 1400m at Kembla Grange.
