TEARS OF VICTORY (9) treks to the South Island for the first time, and his poly track form in the North Island was very good. She cops a wide gate, but she is still racing well enough to be the one to beat for us. SARISSA (11) raced handy to the pace and kept on fighting gamely for fourth here 2 weeks ago in BM60 grade. She will be peaking at the right time for this, and more importantly she gets Tina Comignaghi back in the saddle, which makes her immediately a top 3 threat in this. DON PAULY (18) has been very frustrating since relocating to the South Island, and he ran another teaser when finishing eighth on the turf here 12 days ago, albeit he got a long way back on the rails that day. With a more positive ride from the pole position, he is more than capable of taking this out. CORRECTION (1) made an encouraging debut from his new stable here a fortnight ago when finishing fifth on this track. Stick with him. WREN (14) worked too hard last time out, and she is better than that. SUGGESTED PLAY: Don Pauly each-way.
