Expecting Samaka to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sharp trip. OUR HUNTRESS (1) handy filly who returns after placing in the minor money at all four career starts in her first preparation. Visors come off and stalks the good tempo with the two sound trials under her belt. Go close. SAMAKA (4) well-bred gelding with his hoof on the till at start three. Showed good early toe from the outside gate with a tough on-pace third over 1250m at Newcastle. Can take control early and prove hard to get past. DIRTY SUMMER (5) back in trip second-up and launched late from last on the turn with a solid third over 1000m at Wyong. Has further upside and shouldn't be a Maiden for long. FERNWEH (2) returned from a lengthy break with a close-up second at Gosford, then started favourite when he ran below expectations with a fading sixth over 1200m at Gosford. Blinkers go on and worth another chance. The race doesn't end there. SUGGESTED PLAY: Our Huntress and Samaka shape as the two leading prospects.
